# the roadmap to be a great AI engineer/researcher/data scientist

AI Engineer / Data Scientist / Researcher : Let’s connect everyone. Send me connection invites, I accept all invites. I speak and write regularly about AI updates, AI education materials, AI technologies, AI models, etc. thank you.

Here’s the roadmap to be a great AI engineer/researcher/data scientist.

\- \*\*Level 1\*\*: Foundations (math, statistics, Python implementation).

\- \*\*Level 2\*\*: ML/DL basics (neural networks, model evaluation, core ML).

\- \*\*Level 3\*\*: Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, optimization techniques).

\- \*\*Level 4\*\*: Advanced engineering (ethics, fine-tuning, AI agents).

Some of my tips to people I'm mentoring:

\-- ALWAYS LEARN THE BASICS FIRST.

\-- ALWAYS BE LEARNING CONTINUOUSLY: Experience is good but if u stop learning or think u know everything, the probability of failure is higher. I had seen "experienced" people in tech meetings who obviously display little knowledge about AI, resulting in a failed meeting. Nothing beats hard work.

\-- BE SPECIFIC ABOUT WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AI: Many people talk about AI in very broad strokes and don't truly know what is the technology, resulting in failures. BE PRECISE. Don't just say the easy words about "democratizing AI". Anybody can say these words easily, so they don't need to hire you. Be specific. How easily do u spread the AI? Read the AI research papers. Go to Hugging Face and start playing with the AI models.

Good luck and all the best to your AI learning journey. Let's learn AI together.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://phantanloc.gitbook.io/locpt_wiki/homepage/2.it-cntt/ai-tri-tue-nhan-tao/the-roadmap-to-be-a-great-ai-engineer-researcher-data-scientist.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
